John Pershing Weathersby
John Pershing Weathersby was born September 11, 1837, at Corinth, Mississippi.
He enlisted in the with Company H, 22nd Mississippi Volunteers in Langston Division, CSA.
After the close of the war, he married Annie Lot on April 15, 1867. She died in 1879 and no children were issued from this marriage.
On February 18,1880, J. P. married Texia M. Van Cleave in the Stag Creek settlement of Comanche County, Texas. Of this marriage, 15 children were born, 6 died young and 1 died at age 15: Perla M.; Edward Charlie married Lillie Raymond Barcroft; Virginia A.; Josephine; George W.; Katie C.; Eugene F.; Dock.
John Pershing Weathersby died December 14, 1915.
